Its funny the things you save...

As a senior at Springstead at the end of the 80s I prided myself on carrying no books and going to my locker as little as possible. Senioritis, which set in late in my sophomore year, was in its final, terminal stages. So I simply carried a pen and "borrowed" whatever I needed as I went from class to class. I also had a car with way too much horsepower for a 17 year old boy. So when I opened my 1990 yearbook this afternoon this came floating out:

Thom Makuch

Today we mourn the passing of my father Thom Makuch. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones at 9:15am on 2/3/2010. This ends his one and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Some on this forum may have been in my father's class at Spring Hill Elementary or West Hernando Middle (old one on Deltona). He has influenced so many students throughout his life we wanted to let all know he has passed. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him...in fact, for t
